Battery Source & Ground

  1. If not, repair harness. If harness is okay, test is complete. If no good, check EFI relay. Relay should show continuity as listed in table. If not, replace relay.
  2. On Maxima verify that diagnosis mode selector on the ECCS control unit is turned fully counterclockwise. Turn ignition on and make sure that Red and Green inspection lamp on the control unit stay on. If they stay on, test is complete.
  3. If not, check harness for continuity. If no good, repair harness. If okay, check EFI relay. Relay should show continuity as listed in table. If not, replace relay. If relay is okay, replace ECCS control unit.

Terminals With 12 Volts Between 1 and 2 With No Voltage
1-2 N/A Continuity
3-4 Continuity No Continuity
