Detonation Sensor (Code 34)

Disconnect detonation sensor harness connector. Start engine and increase engine speed while checking ignition timing. Check if ignition timing retards by 5 degrees when engine speed increases more than 2000 RPM. If not, replace ECCS control unit. If okay, check harness for continuity. If okay, replace detonation sensor.
