EGR Control Valve
- Disconnect ECCS 20-pin connector. Check voltage between terminal 4 and ground when ignition is on. See Figure . If battery voltage is present, test is complete. If not, check harness for continuity and repair if necessary.
- If okay, check EFI relay. Check for continuity between terminals 1-2 and 3-4. There should be continuity at 1-2 and no continuity at 3-4. Apply 12 volts to terminals 1-2. There now should be continuity between terminals 3-4. See Figure . If no good, replace relay. If okay, go to next step.
- Check EGR control valve for continuity between 2 terminals of connector. There should be continuity. If no good, replace EGR control valve. If okay, check EGR control valve for proper operation and replace if necessary. See Fig 1 .
