Throttle Valve Switch (Code 23)
- Check harness for continuity. If no good, repair. Check throttle valve switch for continuity between terminals 29 and 30 on Maxima. If there is no continuity, adjust switch as described in next step.
- On all models, hold engine speed as listed by holding the throttle valve. Adjust idle switch so that switch turns on at that idle speed. If switch can not be adjusted, replace throttle valve switch.IDLE SPEEDS SPECIFICATION
Application RPM Maxima 850-950 - Check between 29, 30 and ground on Maxima. If there is continuity, replace throttle valve switch. If no continuity, replace ECCS control unit.
