Air Flow Meter (Code 12)
- Disconnect the 20-pin connector and measure the resistance between terminals 6 and 11, 6 and 15, and 6 and 16. See Figure
. If no good, go to next step. If okay, check air flow meter flap. If flap is okay, replace control unit. If not okay, replace air flow meter.AIRFLOW CIRCUIT RESISTANCE VALUES
Application Ohms 6-15 100-400 6-16 200-500 6-11 Any Except 0 or Infinity - If resistance readings in step 1) were not correct, check air flow meter resistance readings between terminals E and B, E and, C and E and D on air flow meter. Resistance should be as listed in table. If no good, replace the air flow meter.AIRFLOW METER RESISTANCE VALUES
Application Ohms E-C 100-400 E-D 200-500 E-B Any Except 0 or Infinity - If okay, check resistance readings between terminals B, C, D, E and ground. Resistance should be infinity. If okay, check air flow meter flap. If no good, replace air flow meter.
