EFI Control Unit
The EFI control unit calculates basic injection pulse width by processing signals from ignition and air flow meter. Receiving signals from each sensor, the unit adds various enrichments, which are programmed into the control unit, to the basic injection amount. Thus the optimum amount of fuel is injected.
The control unit is located on driver's side kick panel on all other models. It is not serviceable and should not be opened. A monitor lamp is provided on lower side of unit so system operation can be checked. The control unit contains memory and logic circuits that enable it to interpret sensor inputs and control different engine systems.
