Fuel Injectors
Fuel injectors are specialized solenoid valves to which high pressure fuel is supplied. The ECU controls the solenoid coil inside the injectors. The coil, when energized by the ECU, opens a ball valve which allows fuel to pass through a swirl orifice and into intake manifold. See Fig 1 .
