Oxygen Sensor

The oxygen sensor is mounted in the exhaust manifold on 2.0L engines and in the front exhaust pipe on 3.0L engines. This sensor is made of ceramic titania which drastically changes in electrical resistance at the ideal fuel/air ratio. The ECU supplies the oxygen sensor with about one volt and takes an output voltage of the sensor depending on its resistance.
