Thermostatic Air Cleaner Functional Check

Stop engine and unhook fresh air duct. Start engine and use a mirror to check position of air control valve inside duct. Ensure air control valve moves up and down when engine speed is quickly increased and decreased. Air control valve should rise as engine warms up. If not, check vacuum motor.
