Maxima (VG30E Engine)

  1. Disconnect power transistor connector. See Fig 1 -5. At power transistor connector, check continuity between the following terminals, noting ohmmeter test lead polarity:
    • "a" (+) and "b" (-)
    • "a" (+) and "c" (-)
  2. If there is no continuity, replace power transistor. If there is continuity, reverse ohmmeter test lead polarity and check continuity between terminals listed in previous step. If there is continuity, replace power transistor. If there is no continuity, power transistor is okay.
