Check Input Signal Circuit

Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Ensure continuity exists between CMP sensor connector terminal No. 4 (Black/White wire) and ECM connector terminals No. 41 and 45 (180 degree signal), and between CMP connector terminal No. 3 (Blue wire) and ECM connector terminals No. 40 and 44 (one degree signal). See Figure and Figure. If continuity is present, go to next test. If continuity is not present, repair wiring harness or connectors as necessary.
