DTC Confirmation Test
Depending on equipment available, use one of the following to set DTC:
- Using scan tool, start engine and idle at least 30 seconds. Select MODE 7 on scan tool.
- Using MIL, start engine and idle at least 30 seconds. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Turn ignition on and retrieve DTCs using MIL. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in TESTS W/CODES - INTRODUCTION article.
