Bench Testing: Stator
Using DVOM, check for continuity between stator core leads. Replace stator if continuity is not present. Connect one DVOM lead to stator core. Connect remaining DVOM lead, in turn, to each stator lead. Replace stator if continuity is present.
NOTE:
To test stator or diodes, separate them by unsoldering connecting wires. Use just enough heat to melt solder. Excess heat will damage diodes.
