Driver's Door Lock Switch Check

  1. Check Door Lock Switch Input Signal

    Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) connector. Using DVOM, check continuity between ground and terminals No. 23 (Green/Yellow wire) and No. 35 (Purple/Red wire). Continuity should exist only in lock position. If continuity is okay, door lock switch is okay. If continuity is not as specified, go to next step.
  2. Check Door Lock Switch

    Disconnect power window main switch 16-pin connector. Check continuity between switch terminals No. 3, 7 and 14. See Fig 1 . Continuity should exist between switch terminals No. 3, 7 and 14 in lock position. Continuity should exist between switch terminals No. 3 and 7 in unlock position. If continuity is not as specified, replace power window main switch. If continuity is as specified, inspect ground circuit. Inspect circuits between SECU and power window main switch for open or short. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as needed.
