Vacuum Diagrams: Introduction: Notes

NOTE: This article also applies to Infiniti I30 and QX4. For I30 coverage, refer to Maxima, unless otherwise indicated. For QX4 coverage, refer to Pathfinder, unless otherwise indicated. Information for 2000 Quest is not available from manufacturer.

This article contains schematics of vacuum hose routing. Use these vacuum diagrams during the visual inspection portion of BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article. This will assist in identifying improperly routed vacuum hoses, which cause driveability and/or computer-indicated malfunctions.

NOTE: When replacing or repairing vacuum or purge hoses, DO NOT use soapy water or any type of solvent for lubrication.
