DTC Confirmation Test
Malfunction is detected when improper voltage is sent to ECM from EVAP Control System Pressure Sensor (EVAP-CSPS). Possible causes are:
- EVAP-CSPS circuit open or shorted.
- Blockage or leak in hose to EVAP-CSPS.
- Defective EVAP-CSPS.
- Defective EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve (EVAP-CVCV).
- Defective EVAP Canister Purge Volume Control Valve (EVAP-CPVCV).
- Defective EVAP canister.
- Faulty hose between EVAP-CVCV and water separator.
CAUTION:
DO NOT use ECM ground terminals when measuring voltage.
To set DTC, start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR, and read FUEL T/TMP SE value. Ensure value is more than 32°F (0°C). Start engine and wait at least 20 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
