Vehicle Security System Activation (With Key Or Keyfob Used To Lock Doors, Frontier)
If the key is used to lock doors, ground is supplied to SECU terminal No. 11, through left front door key cylinder switch terminal No. 1, left front door key cylinder switch terminal No. 2 and body grounds M14 (located behind left kick panel) and M68 (located behind right kick panel).
If this signal or lock signal from keyfob is received by the SECU, the vehicle security system will activate automatically.
Once the vehicle security system has been activated, SECU terminal No. 38 supplies ground to security indicator lamp terminal No. 2.
The security lamp will illuminate for approximately 30 seconds and then blink.
The vehicle security system is now in armed phase.
