DTC Confirmation Test "B" (Using CONSULT-II)

NOTE: If engine will not start or starts and stalls, go DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
  1. Turn ignition on. Start engine and warm to operating temperature. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Check voltage of MAS A/F SE-B1 in DATA MONITOR. Increase engine speed to 4000 RPM. Monitor voltage on scan tool. If voltage increases with RPM, go to next step. If voltage does not increase with RPM, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
  2. Drive vehicle under following conditions for at least 10 seconds: engine speed more than 2000 RPM, throttle position sensor more than 3 volts, in suitable gear. Driving uphill to increase engine load will help maintain required driving conditions. If DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If DTC is not detected, system is okay.
