Key Switch (insert) Check

- CHECK KEY SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-II
Check ignition key cylinder switch "KEY ON SW" in "DATE MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II
- When key is inserted in ignition key cylinder
- KEY ON SW :ON
- When key is removed in ignition key cylinder
- KEY ON SW :OFF
Without CONSULT-II
Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.

OK or NG
- OK : Key switch is OK.
- NG : GO TO 2.
- When key is inserted in ignition key cylinder
- CHECK KEY SWITCH (INSERT)
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect key switch connector.
- Check continuity between key switch terminals 1 and 2.

OK or NG
- OK : GO TO 3.
- NG : Replace key switch.
- CHECK KEY SWITCH CIRCUIT
- Disconnect BCM connector.
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector M90 terminal 37 and key switch harness connector M25 terminal 1.
- 37 (B/R) 1 (B/R) : Continuity should exist.
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector M90 terminal 37 and ground.
- 37 (B/R) - Ground : Continuity should not exist.

OK or NG
- OK : Check the following.
- 10A fuse [No. 21, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
- Harness for open or short between key switch and fuse
- NG : Repair harness or connector.
