M/T Models (Using Clutch Interlock Cancel Switch)

NOTE: Vehicles with a manual transmission may be equipped with a clutch interlock cancel switch. This system description describes vehicle starting using the clutch interlock cancel switch. The use of the clutch interlock cancel switch allows the driver to start the vehicle without depressing the clutch pedal.

Power is supplied at all times:

With the ignition switch in the START position, power is supplied:

With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied:

With the clutch interlock cancel switch depressed, power is supplied:

Ground is supplied at all times:

The clutch interlock cancel relay 2 is energized and power is supplied:

The IPDM E/R starter relay is energized and power is supplied:

The starter motor plunger closes and provides a closed circuit between the battery and the starter motor. The starter motor is grounded to the cylinder block. With power and ground supplied, the starter motor operates.
