When installing the transaxle to the engine, use the specified tightening torque in the numerical sequence as shown.
- Install converter to drive plate bolts.
- Converter to drive plate bolts: 54 N.m (5.5 kg-m, 40 ft-lb)
NOTE: With converter installed, rotate crankshaft several turns to check that transaxle rotates freely without binding. - Install rear cover plate.
- Rear cover plate bolt: 6.91 N.m (0.70 kg-m, 61 in-lb)
- Install crankshaft position sensor (POS).
- Crankshaft position sensor (POS) bolt: 9.6 N.m (0.98 kg-m, 85 in-lb)
- Tighten the front suspension member nuts and bolts to specification. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Tighten the stabilizer bar and connecting rod nuts and bolts to specification. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
.CAUTION: Tighten the suspension nuts and bolts with the vehicle on the ground.
- Install the stabilizer bar bushings and brackets in the specified orientation. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
- Tighten the steering gear mounting bolts to specification. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
