DTC Confirmation Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If DTC confirmation procedure had been previously run, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before continuing. Ensure battery voltage is 10 volts or more at idle.

Turn ignition on. On scan tool, select DATA MONITOR mode. Start engine and let it idle for 5 seconds. If DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
