DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

CAUTION:
DO NOT use ECM ground terminals when measuring voltage.
NOTE:
Use the following test to check overall function of HO2S 1 circuit. During this test, 1st trip DTC may not be confirmed.
- Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Backprobing at ECM, measure voltage between ground and ECM terminal No. 35 (bank 1) or No. 16 (bank 2). See Figure.
- While observing voltmeter, increase engine speed to 2000 RPM and hold steady. If voltage remains in 0.2-0.4 volt range, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If voltage varies out of the 0.2-0.4 volt range, system is okay at this time.
