Possible Causes

ECM illuminates MIL and sets DTC P0222 when excessively low voltage from TP sensor is sent to ECM. ECM illuminates MIL and sets DTC P0223 when excessively high voltage from TP sensor is sent to ECM. Possible causes are:
- Defective throttle position sensor 1 circuit.
- Poor, loose, corroded or damaged terminal connections.
- Defective throttle position sensor 1.
