Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove air intake duct. Check for foreign matter caught between throttle valve and housing. If throttle valve is clear, go to next step. If throttle valve is hung up with foreign matter, clear area as necessary.
  2. Replace electric throttle control actuator. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - PATHFINDER article. Perform relearn. See PROGRAMMING .
