Door Lock/Unlock Switch Check

  1. CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL 

    With CONSULT-II

    Check door lock/unlock switch ("CDL LOCK SW""CDL UNLOCK SW") in DATA MONITOR mode in CONSULT-II. Refer to "DATA MONITOR ".

    • When door lock/unlock switch is turned to LOCK:
      • CDL LOCK SW: ON 
    • When door lock/unlock switch is turned to UNLOCK:
      • CDL UNLOCK SW: ON 

    Without CONSULT-II

    1. Remove key from ignition key cylinder.
    2. Check the signal between BCM connector M18 terminal 22 and ground with oscilloscope when door lock/unlock switch is turned to LOCK or UNLOCK.

    3. Make sure the signals which are shown in the figure below can be detected during 10 seconds just after the door lock/unlock switch is turned to LOCK or UNLOCK.

    OK or NG

    • OK: Door lock and unlock switch circuit is OK.
    • NG: GO TO 2.
  2. CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL 

    Check ("POWER WINDOW DOWN") in ACTIVE TEST mode for "REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM" with CONSULT-II. Refer to "ACTIVE TEST ".

    When "ACTIVE TEST" is performed, are the front windows lowered?

    OK or NG

  3. CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH GROUND HARNESS 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect main power window and door lock/unlock switch or power window and door lock/unlock switch RH.
    3. Check continuity between main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector D7 terminal 15 (without automatic back door system) or D8 terminal 17 (with automatic back door system) and ground.

      • 15 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist. 
      • 17 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist. 
    4. Check continuity between power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector D105 terminal 11 and ground.

      • 11 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist. 

    OK or NG

    • OK: GO TO 4.
    • NG: Repair or replace harness.
  4. CHECK POWER WINDOW SERIAL LINK CIRCUIT 
    1. Disconnect BCM.
    2. Check continuity between BCM connector M18 terminal 22 and main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector D7 terminal 12 (without automatic back door system) or terminal 14 (with automatic back door system).

      • 22 (Y/B) - 12 (Y): Continuity should exist. 
      • 22 (Y/B) - 14 (Y): Continuity should exist. 
  5. Check continuity between BCM connector M18 terminal 22 and power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector D105 terminal 16.

    • 22 (Y/B) - 16 (Y/B): Continuity should exist. 

OK or NG
