DTC Confirmation Test

NOTE: Using scan tool, ensure coolant temperature is less than 140°F (60°C) before beginning confirmation test.

Malfunction is detected when ECM receives an excessively low or high voltage from FTT sensor, or when voltage received is rationally incorrect compared to ECT sensor and IAT sensor. Possible causes are:

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Wait at least 10 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
