CONSULT-II Basic Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Infiniti G35. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

CAUTION: If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunctions might be detected in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carry out CAN communication.

With the ignition switch OFF, connect CONSULT-II and CONSULT-II CONVERTER to the data link connector, then turn the ignition switch ON.

Touch IPDM E/R on SELECT SYSTEM screen.

- If IPDM E/R is not indicated, refer to CONSULT-II DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC) CIRCUIT .
Select the desired part to be diagnosed on the SELECT DIAG MODE screen.
