Check Door Lock And Unlock Switch

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION 

    Does power window system operate normally?

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 2
    2. NG: Refer to POWER WINDOW SYSTEM .

  2. CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL 

    With CONSULT-II 

    Check door lock and unlock switch (LOCK SW DR/AS and UNLK SW DR/AS) in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II.

    • When door lock and unlock switch is turned to LOCK:

      LOCK SW DR/AS: ON 

    • When door lock and unlock switch is turned to UNLOCK:

      UNLK SW DR/AS: ON

    Without CONSULT-II 

    1. Remove key from ignition key cylinder.
    2. Check the signal between BCM connector M37 terminal 74 (BR/W) and ground when door lock and unlock switch is turned LOCK or UNLOCK".
    3. Make sure signals which are shown in the figure below can be detected during 10 second just after door lock and unlock switch is turned LOCK or UNLOCK".

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Door lock and unlock switch circuit is OK.
    2. NG: GO TO 3.

  3. CHECK POWER WINDOW SERIAL LINK CIRCUIT 
    1. Disconnect BCM, power window main switch and front power window switch (passenger side) connectors.
    2. Check continuity between BCM connector M37 terminal 74 and power window main switch (door lock and unlock switch) connector D6 terminal 14.

      74 (BR/W) -14 (BR/W): Continuity should exist. 

    3. Check continuity between power window main switch connector D6 terminal 14 (BR/W) and ground.

      14 (BR/W) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.

    4. Check continuity between BCM connector M37 terminal 74 and front power window switch (passenger side) connector D35 terminal 16.

      74 (BR/W) -16 (BR/W): Continuity should exist. 

    5. Check continuity between front power window switch (passenger side) connector D35 terminal 16 and ground.

      16 (BR/W) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness.

  4. CHECK DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH GROUND HARNESS 
    • Check continuity between power window main switch (door lock and unlock switch) connector D7 terminal 17 and ground.

      17 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist.

    • Check continuity between front power window switch (passenger side) connector D35 terminal 11 and ground.

      11 (B) -Ground: Continuity should exist.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Replace power window main switch or front power window switch (passenger side).
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness.
