Key Switch (Inserted) Check
- CHECK KEY SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
- Disconnect smart entrance control unit harness connector.
- Check voltage between smart entrance control unit harness connector M111 terminal 25 (W/G) and ground.Fig 1: Checking Voltage Between Smart Entrance Control Unit Harness Connector M111 Terminal 25 (W/G) And Ground

Refer to WIRING DIAGRAM - KEYLES - .
OK or NG
- OK: Key switch is OK.
- NG: GO TO 2.
- CHECK KEY SWITCH POWER SUPPLY
- Disconnect key switch harness connector.
- Check voltage between key switch harness connector terminal 1 and ground.
Battery voltage should exist.
Refer to WIRING DIAGRAM - KEYLES - .
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 3.
- NG: Check the following
- 7.5A fuse [No. 28, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
- Harness for open or short between key switch and fuse
- CHECK KEY SWITCH (INSERTED)
Check continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
Continuity
Condition of key switch : Key is inserted.
Yes
Condition of key switch : Key is removed.
No
OK or NG
- OK: Check harness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and key switch.
- NG: Replace key switch.
