Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check for A/C and AV Switch

  1. CHECK FUSE 
    • Make sure the following fuses of the A/C and AV switch are not blown.
      FUSE CHECK CHART

      Terminals Power source Fuse No.
      Connector Terminal (Wire color)
      M48 1 (Y) Battery power 38
      2 (P/B) ACC power 6

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate case of malfunction before installing new fuse. Refer to POWER DISTRIBUTION " .
  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 

    Check voltage between connector terminals and ground as follows.

    VOLTAGE CHECK CHART

    Terminals Ignition switch position
    (+) (-) OFF ACC ON
    Connector Terminal (Wire color)
    M48 1 (Y) Ground Battery voltage Battery voltage Battery voltage
    2 (P/B) 0V Battery voltage Battery voltage

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG: Check harness for open or short between A/C and AV switch and fuse.
  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect A/C and AV switch connector.
    3. Check continuity between A/C and AV switch and ground as follows.
      CONTINUITY CHECK CHART

      Terminals Ignition switch Continuity
      Connector Terminal (Wire color) Ground
      M48 5 (B) OFF Yes

    OK or NG

    1. OK: INSPECTION END.
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness.
