Front Door Lock Assembly LH (Key Cylinder Switch) Check (Crew Cab)

- CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH LH
With CONSULT-II
Check front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) ("KEY CYL LK-SW") and ("KEY CYL UN-SW) in DATA MONITOR mode in CONSULT-II. Refer to "DATA MONITOR ".
- When key inserted in front key cylinder is turned to LOCK:
KEY CYL LK-SW : ON
- When key inserted in front key cylinder is turned to UNLOCK:
KEY CYL UN-SW : ON
Without CONSULT-II
Check voltage between main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector D7 terminals 4, 6 and ground.

VOLTAGE BETWEEN MAIN POWER WINDOW & DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CONNECTOR D7 TERMINALS 4, 6 & GROUND REFERENCEConnector Terminals (Wire color) Condition Voltage (V) (Approx.) (+) (-) D7 4 (L) Ground Neutral/Unlock 5 Lock 0 6 (R) Neutral/Lock 5 Unlock 0 OK or NG
- OK : Front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) signal is OK.
- NG : GO TO 2.
- When key inserted in front key cylinder is turned to LOCK:
- CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH LH
- Turn ignition switch off.
- Disconnect front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch).
- Check continuity between door key cylinder switch LH connector terminals 1, 5 and 6.

CONTINUITY BETWEEN DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH LH CONNECTOR TERMINALS 1, 5 & 6 REFERENCETerminals Condition Continuity 1 - 5 Key is turned to LOCK. Yes 6 - 5 Key is turned to UNLOCK. Yes
OK or NG
- OK : Check the following.
- Front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) ground circuit.
- Harness for open or short between main power window and door lock/unlock switch and front door lock actuator LH (key cylinder switch LH).
- NG : Replace front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch). Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
