DTC Confirmation Procedure (Using CONSULT-II)

  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Turn ignition on. Select SELF-LEARNING CONT in WORK SUPPORT mode. Clear self-learning control coefficient by pressing CLEAR.
  2. Select DATA MONITOR mode. Start engine and let it idle for at least 10 minutes. If 1st trip DTC P0171 or P0174 is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC P0171 or P0174 is not detected, go to next step.
  3. If it is difficult to start engine, fuel injection system has a malfunction. Crank engine while depressing accelerator pedal. If engine starts, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If engine does not start, visually check for intake and exhaust leaks.
