Encoder Circuit Check (Rear LH or RH)/With Front and Rear Power Window Anti-Pinch System

  1. CHECK ENCODER SIGNAL
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check the signal between power window sub-switch (rear LH or RH) connector D55 (LH), D75 (RH) and ground with oscilloscope.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : Encoder sw circuit is OK
    2. NG : GO TO 2.
  2. CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect power window sub-switch (rear LH or RH) and power window regulator (rear LH or RH).
    3. Check continuity between power window sub-switch (rear LH or RH) connector D55 (LH), D75 (RH) terminal 19 and power window regulator (rear LH or RH) connector D52 (LH), D72 (RH) terminal 5.
      1. 19 (G/Y) - 5 (G/Y): Continuity should exist.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : GO TO 3.
    2. NG : Repair or replace harness between power window sub-switch (rear LH or RH) and power window regulator (rear LH or RH).
  3. CHECK ENCODER GROUND

    Check continuity between power window regulator (rear LH or RH) connector D52 (LH), D72 (RH) terminal 4 and ground.

    1. 4 (W/B) - Ground: Continuity should exist. 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : Replace power window regulator (rear LH or RH).
    2. NG : GO TO 4.

  4. CHECK ENCODER GROUND CIRCUIT

    Check continuity between power window regulator (rear LH or RH) connector D52 (LH), D72 (RH) terminal 4 and power window sub-switch (rear LH or RH) connector D55 (LH), D75 (RH) terminal 20.

    1. 6 (W/B) - 20 (W/B): Continuity should exist. 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : Replace power window sub-switch (rear LH or RH).
    2. NG : Repair or replace harness between power window regulator (rear LH or RH) and power window sub-switch (rear LH or RH).
