DTC Confirmation Test (2.4L Models - Using Generic Scan Tool)

Start engine and drive vehicle at a speed of more than 43 MPH for 2 consecutive minutes. Stop vehicle and let engine idle for at least 6 seconds. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Start engine and drive vehicle at a speed of more than 43 MPH for 2 consecutive minutes. Stop vehicle and let engine idle for at least 6 seconds. Select MODE 3 with scan tool. If DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (2.4L)  . If DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
