DTC Confirmation Test "D" (Using Generic Scan Tool)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of MAF sensor circuit. During this test, 1st trip DTC may not be confirmed.

Turn ignition on. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Select MODE 1 with scan tool. Observe MAF reading on scan tool while increasing engine speed to 4000 RPM. If voltage does not increase linearly as engine speed increases, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If voltage increases linearly as engine speed increases, system is okay at this time.
