Possible Causes

Malfunction is detected when an improper voltage signal from the FPCM, which is supplied to a point between the fuel pump and the dropping resistor, is detected by ECM. Possible causes are:
- FPCM circuit is shorted.
- Defective dropping resistor.
- Defective FPCM.
