Daytime Light Control Does Not Operate Properly

FOG LAMP ACTIVE TEST
With CONSULT-II
1. Select "IPDM E/R" on CONSULT-II. and select "ACTIVE TEST" on "SELECT DIAG MODE" screen.
2. Select "LAMPS" on "SELECT TEST ITEM" screen.
3. Touch "FOG" screen.
4. Make sure fog lamp operation.
  Fog lamp should operate.
Without CONSULT-II
1. Start auto active test. .
2. Make sure fog lamp operation.
  Fog lamp should operate.

OK or NG
1. OK: GO TO 5.
2. NG: GO TO 2.

CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP INPUT SIGNAL

With CONSULT-II

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect front combination lamp RH and LH connectors.
Select "IPDM E/R" on CONSULT-II. and select "ACTIVE TEST" on "SELECT DIAG MODE" screen.
Select "LAMPS" on "SELECT TEST ITEM" screen.
Touch "FOG" screen.

When fog lamp is operating, check voltage between front fog lamp RH and LH harness connector and ground.

Without CONSULT-II

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect front fog lamp RH and LH connectors.
Start auto active test. .

When fog lamp is operating, check voltage between front fog lamp RH and LH harness connectors and ground.

VOLTAGE CHECK CHART

LH	E92	1 (W/R)	Ground	Battery voltage

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 4.
NG: GO TO 3.

CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector E8 terminal 36 (G/W) and front fog lamp RH harness connector E94 terminal 1 (G/W).
  36 (G/W) - 1 (G/W): Continuity should exist.
4. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector E8 terminal 37 (W/R) and front fog lamp LH harness connector E92 terminal 1 (W/R).
  37 (W/R) - 1 (W/R): Continuity should exist.

OK or NG
1. OK: Replace IPDM E/R.
2. NG: Repair harness or connector.
CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP GROUND
1. Check continuity between front fog lamp RH harness connector E94 terminal 2 (B) and ground.
  2 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist.
2. Check continuity between front fog lamp LH harness connector E92 terminal 2 (B) and ground.
  2 (B) - Ground: Continuity should exist.
OK or NG
1. OK: Check front fog lamp bulbs.
2. NG: Repair harness or connector.

CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSIS
Select "BCM" on CONSULT-II. Carry out "BCM" self-diagnosis.

Displayed results of self-diagnosis
1. No malfunction detected: Replace BCM. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF BCM " .
2. CAN communications or CAN system: Check BCM CAN communication system. Refer to "CAN COMMUNICATION INSPECTION USING CONSULT-II (SELF-DIAGNOSIS) " .
