Combination Switch Circuit

  1. Light Control Switch -  Connect the wire harness side connector to the combination switch and inspect the wire harness side connector from the back side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING COMBINATION SWITCH CIRCUIT (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH)  table.

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    16 - Ground Constant Continuity
    12 - Ground Light Control Switch OFF, TAIL Or HEAD No Voltage
    12 - Ground Light Control Switch AUTO B+ Voltage
    13 - Ground Light Control Switch OFF Or TAIL No Voltage
    13 - Ground Light Control Switch HEAD B+ Voltage
    14 - Ground Light Control Switch OFF No Voltage
    14 - Ground Light Control Switch TAIL Or HEAD B+ Voltage
  2. Headlight Dimmer Switch -  Connect the wire harness side connector to the combination switch and inspect the wire harness side connector from the back side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING COMBINATION SWITCH CIRCUIT (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)  table.

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    7 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch Low Beam No Voltage
    7 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch High Beam Or Flash B+ Voltage
    8 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch Low Beam Or High Beam No Voltage
    8 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch Flash B+ Voltage
    17 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch High Beam Or Flash No Voltage
    17 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch Low Beam B+ Voltage
  3. Fog Light Switch -  Connect the wire harness side connector to the combination switch and inspect the wire harness side connector from the back side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING COMBINATION SWITCH CIRCUIT (FOG LIGHT SWITCH)  table.

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    10 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch High Beam Or Flash No Continuity
    10 - Ground Headlight Dimmer Switch Low Beam Continuity
    11 - Ground Light Control Switch OFF Or TAIL No Voltage
    11 - Ground Light Control Switch HEAD B+ Voltage
  4. Turn Signal Switch -  Connect the wire harness side connector to the combination switch and inspect the wire harness side connector from the back side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING COMBINATION SWITCH CIRCUIT (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)  table.

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    1 - Ground Constant Continuity (1)
    3 - Ground Constant Continuity (1)
    2 - Ground Ignition Switch ON & Turn Signal Switch Position Neutral No Voltage
    2 - Ground Hazard Warning Switch ON B+ Voltage
    2 - Ground Ignition Switch ON & Turn Signal Switch Position Left Or Right B+ Voltage
    (1) There is resistance because this circuit is grounded through the bulb.
  5. If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuit connected to other parts.
