Vehicle Speed Signal Check

- CHECK HARNESS
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect display unit connector M93 and combination meter connector M24.
- Check continuity between display unit harness connector M93 terminal 7 (P/L) and combination meter harness connector M24 terminal 14 (P/L).Fig 1: Checking Harness Continuity Between connector M93 Terminal 7 (P/L) & Combination Meter Harness Connector M24 Terminal 14 (P/L)

Continuity should exist.
- Check continuity between display unit harness connector M93 terminal 7 (P/L) and ground.
Continuity should not exist.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 2.
- NG: Repair harness.
- CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL
- Drive vehicle at a constant speed.
- Check the signal between display unit harness connector M93 terminal 7 (P/L) and ground with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

7 (P/L) - Ground: Refer to " TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR DISPLAY UNIT ".
OK or NG
- OK: Replace display unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF DISPLAY UNIT ".
- NG: Check combination meter system. Refer to "VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL INSPECTION ".
