Back Door Handle Switch System Inspection

  1. BACK DOOR HANDLE SWITCH SIGNAL INSPECTION 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. While operating the back door handle switch, check voltage between back door control unit connector B55 terminal 26 and ground.
      TERMINALS VOLTAGE REFERENCE

      Terminal Measuring condition Voltage (V) (Approx.)
      ( + ) ( - )
      26 Ground Pull the back door handle switch (ON) 0
      Other (OFF) 5

    OK or NG 

    OK: Back door handle switch circuit is OK.

    NG: GO TO 2.

  2. BACK DOOR HANDLE SWITCH CIRCUIT INSPECTION 
    1. Disconnect back door handle switch and back door control unit.
    2. Check continuity between back door handle switch connector (B) D510 terminal 1 and back door control unit connector (A) B55 terminal 26.

      1 - 26: Continuity should exist. 

    3. Check continuity between back door handle switch connector (B) D510 terminal 1 and ground.

      1 - Ground: Continuity should not exist. 

    OK or NG 

    OK: GO TO  4.

    NG: Repair or replace harness.

  3. BACK DOOR HANDLE SWITCH GROUND INSPECTION 

    Check continuity between back door handle switch connector D510 terminal 2 and ground.

    2 - Ground: Continuity should exist. 

    OK or NG 

    OK: Replace the back door handle switch.

    NG: Repair or replace harness.
