Section 1928 (Air Conditioning): Condenser: Installation

INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
1. Install the cooler condenser.

INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER
1. Install the radiator support upper with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts.
  Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )

INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
1. Install the hood lock with the 3 bolts.

INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER BRACKET
1. Install the 2 brackets with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE
1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe and the connecting part of the cooler condenser.
2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.
  Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
3. Install the O-ring on the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe.
4. Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe on the cooler condenser with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf)

INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose and the connecting part of the cooler condenser.
2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the hose joint.
  Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
3. Install the O-ring on the cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
4. Install the cooler refrigerant discharge hose on the cooler condenser with the bolt.
  Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf)

ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See ADJUSTMENT )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
  NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CHARGE REFRIGERANT (See REPLACEMENT )
WARM UP ENGINE (See REPLACEMENT )
CHECK FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT (See REPLACEMENT )
