Front Seat Assembly: Disassembly

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat adjuster frame may injure your hands.

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB LH (for Driver Side)
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring as shown in the illustration. Then remove the knob.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

REMOVE NO. 2 VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)
1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.
  HINT:
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. Remove the 2 screws and vertical adjusting handle.

REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH
1. Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the release handle.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
1. Remove the screw.
2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and clip, and remove the cushion shield.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH
1. Remove the screw.
2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and clip.
Then remove the cushion shield inner LH.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

1. Passenger side:
  Disconnect the connector.
2. Detach the hook and remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover (with pad) from the seat adjuster.
3. Remove the hog rings and cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.
REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL BEZEL
1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the bezel.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
1. Remove the hog rings and hooks.
2. Roll up the seatback cover.
3. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

4. w/ Front seat side airbag:
  Remove the nut and detach the hook. Then remove the 2 seatback cover brackets.
5. Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the seat adjuster.
6. Remove the hog rings and remove the seatback cover from the seatback pad.

REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
1. Upper side:
  Remove the screw and inside cover.
2. Lower side:
Detach the clamp.

Remove the screw and inside cover.
REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
1. Upper side:
  Remove the screw and inside cover.
2. Lower side:
Remove the screw and inside cover.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER LH (for Driver Side)
1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the cushion shield.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER RH (for Driver Side)
1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the cushion shield.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER SPACER (for Driver Side)
1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the spacer.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (for Driver Side)
REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) (See REMOVAL )
