Headlight Dimmer Switch: Inspection

- INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Inspect the light control switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance
CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONSTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 13 - 16
14 - 16OFF 10 kΩ or higher 14 - 16 TAIL Below 1 Ω 13 - 16
14 - 16HEAD Below 1 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Inspect the headlight dimmer switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONSTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 8 - 16
7 - 8FLASH Below 1 Ω 16 - 17 LOW BEAM Below 1 Ω 7 - 16 HIGH BEAM Below 1 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Inspect the turn signal switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

2 - 3Neutral 10 kΩ or higher 2 - 3 Right turn Below 1 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
