Vehicle Speed Signal Check for NAVI Control Unit

- CHECK HARNESS
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect NAVI control unit connector B152, combination meter connector M24 and display control unit connector M94.
- Check continuity between NAVI control unit harness connector B152 (B) terminal 66 and combination meter harness connector M24 (A) terminal 29.
Continuity should exist.
- Check continuity between NAVI control unit harness connector B152 (B) terminal 66 and ground.
Continuity should not exist.
OK or NG
OK : GO TO 2.
NG : Repair harness.
- CHECK 1: VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL
- Connect NAVI control unit connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between NAVI control unit harness connector B152 terminal 66 and ground.
Approx. 3.5V or more
OK or NG
OK : GO TO 3.
NG : Replace NAVI control unit. Refer to "NAVI CONTROL UNIT ".
- CHECK 2: VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL
- Connect combination meter connector and display control unit connector.
- Drive vehicle at a constant speed.
- Check signal between NAVI control unit harness connector B152 terminal 66 and ground with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.
66 - Ground : Refer to " TERMINALS AND REFERENCE VALUE FOR NAVI CONTROL UNIT ".
OK or NG
OK : Replace NAVI control unit. Refer to "NAVI CONTROL UNIT ".
NG : Check combination meter system. Refer to VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL INSPECTION .
