Front Caliper: Assembly

- Temporarily tighten bleeder screw to disc brake caliper.
- Install front disc brake bleeder screw cap.
- Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to new piston seal(s). Install piston seal(s) to disc brake caliper.
- Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to piston(s) and install piston(s) to disc brake caliper.
- Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to NEW caliper boot(s). Install caliper boot(s) securely to grooves of caliper and piston(s).
- Using a screwdriver, install new set ring(s). Do not damage caliper boot.
- Place front disc brake caliper mounting in vise. Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to seal surface of 2 new bush dust boots. Using a socket wrench (19 mm) and hammer, drive brake bush dust boots into brake caliper mounting.
- Install front disc brake caliper mounting. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
NOTE:
Do not screw piston forcibly into disc brake caliper.
