Intermittent Codes Using Consult Tester

NOTE: Intermittent and past codes cannot be retrieved using AIR BAG warning light.
  1. Turn ignition off. Connect CONSULT tester to Data Link Connector (DLC), located on left side of instrument panel, using CONSULT CONVERTER. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Touch START (NISSAN BASED VHCL) on CONSULT tester. Touch AIR BAG. Touch SELF-DIAG (PAST).
  2. If any problems are present, message will be displayed in SELF-DIAG (PAST) mode. Go to INTERMITTENT FAULT MESSAGES  . Touch PRINT. Touch BACK until SELECT SYSTEM appears. Turn ignition off. Turn off CONSULT tester. Disconnect CONSULT tester from DLC. Disconnect negative and positive battery cables. After repair is completed, codes must be cleared. See CLEARING CODES  .
