Remote Keyless Receiver Check

  1. Check multi-remote control receiver input voltage  .
    1. Remove key from ignition key cylinder.
    2. Check signal between remote keyless receiver connector M89 terminal 4 (Y) and ground with oscilloscope.

    OK or NG

    1. OK : GO TO  3 .
    2. NG : GO TO  2 .

  2. Check remote keyless receiver harness  .
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect remote keyless receiver and BCM connector.
    3. Check continuity between remote keyless receiver connector M89 terminal 4 (Y) and BCM connector M1 terminal 19 (Y).
      1. 4 (Y) - 19 (Y) : Continuity should exist. 
    4. Check continuity between remote keyless receiver connector M89 terminal 4 (Y) and ground.
      1. 4 (Y) - Ground : Continuity should not exist. 

    OK or NG

    1. OK : Check harness connection.
    2. NG : Repair or replace the harness.

  3. Check remote keyless receiver  .
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect remote keyless receiver and BCM connector.
    3. Check continuity between remote keyless receiver connector M89 terminal 1 (B) and BCM connector M1 terminal 18 (B).
      1. 1 (B) - 18 (B) : Continuity should exist. 
    4. Check continuity between remote keyless receiver connector M89 terminal 1 (B) and ground.
      1. 1 (B) - Ground : Continuity should not exist  .

    OK or NG

    1. OK : GO TO  4 .
    2. NG : Repair or replace the harness.

  4. Check remote keyless receiver output signal  .
    1. Connect remote keyless receiver connector.
    2. Check signal BCM connector M1 terminal 20 (L) and ground with oscilloscope.

    OK or NG

    1. OK : Replace BCM.
    2. NG : GO TO  5 .

  5. Check remote keyless receiver harness  .
    1. Disconnect remote keyless receiver and BCM connector.
    2. Check continuity between remote keyless receiver connector M89 terminal 2 (L) and BCM connector M3 terminal 20 (L).
      1. 2 (L) - 20 (L) : Continuity should exist. 
    3. Check continuity between remote keyless receiver connector M89 terminal 2 (L) and ground.
      1. 2 (L) - Ground : Continuity should not exist. 

    OK or NG

    1. OK : Replace remote keyless receiver.
    2. NG : Repair or replace the harness.
