Door Switch Check/With Navigation System

First perform the "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" in "BCM" with CONSULT-II, then perform the each trouble diagnosis of malfunction system indicated "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" of "BCM" . Refer to , "CAN COMMUNICATION INSPECTION USING CONSULT-II (SELF-DIAGNOSIS) "

CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-II

Check door switches ("DOOR SW-DR" and "DOOR SW-AS") in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II.

Without CONSULT-II

Check voltage between combination meter connector and ground.

OK or NG
1. OK : Door switch is OK.
2. NG : GO TO 2.
CHECK DOOR SWITCH
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect door switch and combination meter connector.
3. Check continuity between door switch connector B17, B23 terminals 1 and combination meter connector M19 terminals 6, 7.
  1. Front door switch driver side
  2. 1 (W) - 7 (W): Continuity should exist.
  3. Front door switch passenger side
  4. 1 (P) - 6 (P): Continuity should exist.
4. Check continuity between door switch connector B17, B23 terminals 1 and ground.
  1. 1 (W or P) - Ground: Continuity should not exist.

OK or NG
1. OK : GO TO 3
2. NG : Repair or replace harness
CHECK DOOR SWITCH
Check continuity between each door switch terminal 1 and body ground part of door switch.

OK or NG
1. OK : GO TO 4
2. NG : Replace malfunction door switch.
CHECK COMBINATION METER OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Connect combination meter connector.
2. Check voltage between combination meter connector M19 terminal 6, 7 and ground.
  1. 6 (P) - Ground: Battery voltage
  2. 7 (W) - Ground: Battery voltage

OK or NG
1. OK : Further inspection is necessary. Refer to symptom chart.
2. NG : Replace combination meter.
