Deployment Tool Check

  1. Remove battery from vehicle and place on dry wood blocks 16 feet (5 m) from vehicle. Connect Red clip from deployment tool power lead to positive battery terminal and Black clip to negative battery terminal.
  2. Light on right side of deployment tool (deployment tool power) should glow Green and light on left side (air bag connector voltage) should not glow. If right light glows Red, reverse polarity of battery connections. If right light does not glow, use another battery.
  3. Turn deployment switch to ON position. Light on left side of deployment tool (air bag connector voltage) should glow Green. If it does not glow, replace deployment tool.
